too bored to blog

This bed rest thing is getting old fast. The shows on TV have already started repeating. I've read 1/2 of the giant stack of magazines Rachel and Heather brought me. I finished a word search book and sudoku book. I have other books to read, but I don't want to! I want to do housework! Can you believe that? I'm so bored that I want to do housework?

Nothing has changed in the past few days. Monster's still breech. I'm still stuck on the couch. My cervix is slowly starting to go. I'm still having some contraction. Fluids still on the low side, but not low enough to worry. I'm so ready for monster to be out! I want to keep him in until Tuesday, when he will be 35+ weeks by both doctors. After that, I'm going to have a little talk with him. It will be time for him to come out.

Babies are crazy. You beg them to stay in, but when it is ok for them to come out, they won't.

Today is Cary's birthday. He is now the big 3-1. Rachel picked him up a card for me and she made him a cake. I've been slowly frosting it. (I cheat and stand up to frost it, so I'm doing it a little at a time.) His birthday present should be here any day now. He said he didn't mind that it will be late. Oops! I told him I could ask my doctor for permission to go out to eat for his birthday, but he likes me stuck on the couch. He freaks out when I push my bed rest. He would really freak out if he knew I was breaking my restrictions by standing up to frost his cake. I think he would rather me be in the hospital so some one would be watching me and monster all day.

Today on one of the baby shows on TV, the lady used visualization to get her breech baby to flip. Maybe I should I try that on monster. Flip! Flip! Flip! Nothing...

I've heard that if you have the daddy talk to the baby, and shine a light where you want the baby's head to go, that sometimes that helps. Otherwise, I got nothing.

You shouldn't be cheating, but I can't find it in me to give you heck for it when you are so bored that you want to clean the house. Seriously, dude - I hope you're not stuck on that couch much longer!

Tell Cary that we, my household, wish him the Happiest of Birthdays this year. We wish for this next year to be filled with only the happiest of memories.
I'm sorry that you're so dang bored honey....just another week and then, I say, do all the cleaning you want. It was so for me frustrating to have the cerclage and then hope/expect labor to begin the moment they snipped the stitch loose only to have to go another 7 weeks with having my ribs pummeled and my left hip crushed. LOL! I actually went "mudding" in hopes of jumpstarting labor!
Thinking of you, Cary and Monster!

I feel your pain. I was on bedrest with Ava but couldn't help but get up to do something here and there. In the beginning of pregnancy when you're so exhausted, and then after the baby's born all you want to do is stay in bed and sleep, but when forced to it's torture! And Ava was the same about being indecisive about coming out. She tried at 30 and then 35 weeks, but her lungs weren't quite ready yet so we were trying to keep her in until 36 weeks at least. Well, once we were in the clear she decided to get cozy and hung in there until c-section day. They're sneaky little buggers!
