There's a monster at the end of this post...

Nolan's weight check went great! He finally made it on to the weight chart. He is in the 7th percentile. Tuesday, he weighed 7 lbs, 4 ounces and was 19 7/8" long. He is growing so fast!

Nolan got a new cousin on Caleb's birthday. His new cousin was born by c-section October 10. He weighed 9 lbs, 9 ounces and was 22" long. It was strange to see a newborn who is big enough to eat my 1-month-old.

Every year my family has a pumpkin carving contest. All the grown-ups carve pumpkins and all the kids show off their Halloween costumes. We skipped the contest last year - something about a preemie in the hospital. This year, the contest was back. We carved the best pumpkin, but we didn't win. We demanded a recount. We'll win next year. Anyway, we dressed Nolan up in his costume. (It is VERY hard to find a costume for a 7 lb baby.) Can you guess what his is?? Give up? He's a monster!

He's even making his monster face!

He had a long day.

How cute! What a perfect costume. I hear you on how hard it is to find costumes that little! That's hilarious about his new cousin being big enough to eat him!

ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS! Sorry you didn't win the contest, but you sure do have the cutest little monster. I am so glad to see he is getting big, and he is cuter with each day.

Hi Elizabeth!

I really like that costume. I can't believe you found something like that since you've called him Moster this whole time!!! :-) Life rarely works out so perfectly, huh?

Anyway, I put a post on your blog the other day when it was Caleb's birthday. It was like 2 paragraphs or something about how strong you are and what a sight it would have been to see the two of them together. I was sad to see that it's not up there today. I know what I did though (or didn't do). I forgot to type that stupid blurry word at the end before you hit publish, so I screwed up. I've done it correctly before, but I was in a hurry last time. Sorry.

Anyway, Nolan looks so cute in his costume. Do you have a picture of your pumpkin? Let us be the judges...you might get a more favorable result that way!

Talk to you soon.

That is possibly the cutest infant costume I've ever seen. Seriously.

He is definitely filling out - he looks gorgeous with his new poundage.

I had an ultrasound today, and at 38w6d, they guess that Zoe weighs 7.5lbs. I'm... uh... slightly nervous, and hoping she'll come out SOONer rather than LATEr. lol

How adorable! My mother and I had a hard time finding a costume for my son, he only weighed 10lbs at 3 months old, so we searched EVERYWHERE...ended up finding one at Target, it was a police officers uniform....it was priceless! I took him to the police department to have his picture taken with a real officer.

How adorable he is!! And did Hedda think he would not have cute shoes????? When I first saw his costume my first thought was I bet his Grandmother made it for him....
Keep sending the pictures - you know I LOVE seeing them!!

LOVE YOU!

Great pics of the little monster...I notice you whined about not winning our contest, but didn't back it up with pics of your pumpkin! I think ours was the best...wait, if we win, we have to host the whole thing...who thought that was a good idea? I think SAM should win from now on...By the way, no one has mentioned how great you look in the pictures. You don't look like you just gave birth a month ago...Promise.

Nolan is so cute in his costume - and his little jeans. I think the pumpkin contest was fair - the best pumpkin did win. You should be happy because the contest will be close to you next year, but you don't have to clean your house. Also, I agree with Mary Ann - you look great.
