36 weeks

I'm still here and still pregnant. I'm now 36 weeks and a day or two. I never thought I'd make it this far. It's so strange. It's like being pregnant for the first time! I have no idea what to expect for now on (until the labor starts - I've already done 4 times! 2 times each for Caleb and Nolan.)

I go tomorrow afternoon to get the cerclage taken out. It's a big deal that I made it this far, but the actual removal (from what I've heard) is not a big deal. They will remove the stitch at my perinat's (the high-risk doctor) office. The doctors says it's like a long pap smear. I have talked to others who had their cerclages removed this week. They say that it's just a few minutes of discomfort (some have had some pain) and you're done. The actual removal will only be about 5-10 minutes. There is usually a long wait (up to an hour) at my perinat office and I get another ultrasound tomorrow. I'm guessing that I'll be done and leaving the office at around 5. I hope to go out to eat with Cary after. When I get home, I'll update (I'll update Friday morning at the latest).

I'm more excited about making it this far then I am nervous about the procedure. I am annoyed at Cary (surprising, I know). He was making a big deal about the removal. I finally convinced him that the procedure isn't a big deal. Now I'm annoyed that he's acting like it's not a big deal!

Cary thinks I'm going to go into labor as soon as the stitch is removed. I think he's crazy. Many people have gotten their stitch removed and have still gone full-term. Some have even had to be induced! Sadly, when I told my dr and nurse what Cary thought, they agreed with him. I don't like it when people agree with him. I'm always right, Cary is always wrong. Simple.

I think we should start a poll. When do you think I will have and baby? Do you think it's a boy or a girl?
I don't want to know how much you think the baby will weigh. I have to push this baby out! I don't want to even think about pushing out a 9 lb baby.
The winner will get nothing!
Oh - and if you could also guess the baby's name, that would help. We still don't have a name. We have a girl's name narrowed down, but we have nothing for a boy. (No, I'm not going to tell you the possible girl name.)

Some people have been asking what we need for the baby. I'm working on a list. I'll post it here soon.

I've said BOY since the beginning, so I'm sticking to that.

And since we've discussed names, it's not fair for me to spoil everyone here. ;)

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you guys. I'm so excited for you!

(And I will ALWAYS think you are right and take your side. Husbands ... BAH)

Ummmm...you've discussed names with people! MOO, you just got Elizabeth in big trouble because I've been begging for glimpses of the name for months!

I'm guessing July 20th and a boy. And personally I would have done William for my own boy, but that didn't happen. Let me think of something original for you and I'll get back to you.

My guess is a girl this Saturday. I think she will be named Sarah, just kidding. I'll guess Cameron for her name.

If the baby is a boy, I'll guess Liam for his name. That would've been the name if Libbie had been a boy.

I think I might want to back my guess up to Saturday, but I won't. I originally said Sunday, so I'll stick to it. (I'm really just starting to think you won't hold out that long, but oh well.)

Names: Caroline for a girl. Ashley is good too.

I have several nice names for a boy: Tyler, Davis, James, Christopher, Matthew, and Kevin. I guess I like more of the traditional names.

Good luck.

I am guessing you're having a boy on Saturday the 19th. Before I read the other comments, I looked at the calendar and picked Saturday. I had the hardest time picking names for my boys. I know how hard it can be.

Here are some boy names that I like: Landon, Ethan, Connor, Elijah, Colin, Tyler

I think Riley is a cute name for a boy or a girl.

Girls names are always harder for me to come up with. But I do think that Ashlyn is cute...oh and Addison. I really like Addison.

I am so thrilled that you have made it this far. Good luck!!! And I am guessing that the baby boy will weigh 6 lb 2 oz. I could be way off but that is my guess if he comes at 37ish weeks.

I love Riley for a girl or a boy.If Cary wasn't involved is this whole naming thing, we'd be done! But, he doesn't like Riley.

I was thinking about posting Addison too. So, I like that for a girl.

Jeana and I both said Tyler for a boy. Good name. And I like Ethan. Sorry Biz, but I wasn't a big fan of the other names you threw out, but Jaden and Chandler are teriffic names, so we agree on that.

Although I love the name, please don't use Addison. Then we'd have Addison and Madison! Our family already has trouble with Nolan, Ian and Liam! Somehow we even mix those names up with Caleb--hence the all encompassing name we often use, Canolianm. Make sure your next boy's name can be added into this congolomeration. Or just have a girl and name her...something.

"Something" isn't a a good name for a girl. I have a suggestion use ANN for the middle name. Sorry about that, I just had to say it. I think you will go into labor this evening and have the baby girl tomorrow.

Forget Cary. Just name the baby Riley. Fill out the birth certificate when he has gone somewhere. ;)
Alyson- It's OK that you did not like the other names that I threw out. It's not yo baby that u be a namin. Again.... ;)
I like Lynne for the middle name...or maybe Jeana. Hmmm, that's a good name.

I was going to guess Saturday, but since that seems to be the popular opinion, I'll go out on a limb and say you will have this baby on 08/08/08. Sarah and I were looking at baby names and we liked Rylan for a boy. We thought it went well with Nolan.
